Community reassurance message following incident at Golders Green, London – 29/04/2026

We know how the events surrounding the arrest of a man following an abhorrent incident at Golders Green, London earlier today will understandably cause some people to feel concerned.   

Our colleagues at Counter Terrorism Policing London continue to make enquiries into the incident.

While this incident occurred in London, we absolutely recognise how incidents of this nature may make people feel heightened levels of concern.   

We would like to reassure our communities how, throughout the days ahead, we will be increasing our patrols around our Jewish communities and Synagogues. Please do not be concerned by this - our officers will be highly visible, engaging and on hand to provide reassurance and support.
